Until now, registration in the e-prescription app was only possible with an NCF-enabled smartphone, the new electronic health card and personal PIN. Insured persons of first statutory health insurances who already have an electronic patient record (ePA) now have the option to log-in via the app of their health insurance.

To use this option, the identification procedure of the ePA app must be successfully completed. Then the identification has to be confirmed on the e-prescription app. In this way, insured persons can use all the functions of the e-prescription app without an NFC-enabled device.
